Kenworth t680 transmission fault codes

When I turn the key to the on position it shows a fault code "88" at one point and then just shows "N" for neutral. When I turn the truck on and its in neutral is has an "N" which alternates back and fourth with an "F". When I try to put it into drive the N changes to a 2 with the down arrow on the left of it also alternating with the "F".
